I just got home today from Christmas in Norman with my Dad's family. It was alot of fun, I got to hang out with my cousin alot, & aside feeling really crappy yesterday morning & not getting to go to Lawton to see my other Grandma, it was really good. In the gift exchange I got this really cool stand up frame thing...maybe I should post a pic because I can't describe things. My cousin got me this really cool frame, & the matte says "Cousins" in really cute letters & she put a picture of me & her & my sister from when I was 5 years old (Alli was 3, Sara was 2). And then she inset the most recent picture of the three of us. Crazy how different we look. After comparing dates & thinking back, we came to the conclusion that the old picture of us was taken less than one month before my accident. It's sort of weird to see the big mischevious smile on my face, the wide-eyed, nervous glance at my 2-year-old terror cousin, & think that that version of me had no idea that in just a couple of short weeks my whole life would change. Just goes to show you never know what God has in store for you.
Anyway. Tomorrow is going to be packed. I have a drum lesson at 11:30, then I have to swing by OG & pick up my paycheck & take it to the bank, & take Tara the CD of her photos at Chili's. Then I'm going to hang out with Tanya for awhile, & then I have to come home & pack, & then tuesday we leave for NYC! My friend Jordan texted me the other day & asked if we'll be in New York on Christmas Day. I guess he'll be there with his family too! I'm really excited, I think we're going to hang out & go see Al's show together, & then hit Times Square. Should be fun!
I need a really good book to read on the plane...anyone have any suggestions?
